An Ode to Albers: Garbage Collage Homage to the Circle
I am a big fan of Josef Albers and his Homage to the Square series, so I decided to pay tribute to Albers’ immense body of work and his commitment to continuously exploring a singular motif by commencing a new series of works of my own in mid-2023 which I have titled Garbage Collage Homage to the Circle.
Wall of… Waste? (WOW?)
AOD debuted a new sculptural installation last week at the ICC Sydney for the 2023 Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE). The installation, titled Wall of Waste? (WOW?), was constructed using cardboard, plastic, packaging and various other materials and found objects that were salvaged and locally sourced over the course of three weeks leading up to the event.
