A Pair of Offcut Sculpture Bookends, 2024

$200.00

Mixed media

Price is for the pair sold together (book included)

A few of the offcuts used in this work (including the red tile/shingle by Natural Brick Co) came from ‘A Pavilion for Doing Nothing’, a striking structure that appeared out of nowhere one day in 2022 around the corner from my home in Alexandria. After enquiring, I learned that it was the thesis project of a group of USYD Masters of Architecture students who were studying waste streams in design. We had a nice chat, and they graciously obliged when I asked if I could have some material samples.
